The Effect of Linuron on Ion Uptake in Corn, Soybean, and Crabgrass

Abstract: An increase in Ca and SO4 uptake from nutrient solution in juvenile corn (Zea mays L. var. N. J. 9), soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr., var. Kent) and large crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis (L.) Scop.) was obtained with 3-(3,4-dichloroyhenyl)-l-methoxy-l-methyl-urea (linuron) treatment. The uptake of K, Mg, NO3, and PO4 also was followed and varied with the ion and species.
