“…Changes in calcium ion efflux, ornithine decarboxylase (ODC) activity and calcium‐dependent protein kinase activity were reported (Paulraj & Behari, ). Studies also report histopathological changes in parotid gland of rats when exposed to 2100 MHz radiofrequency radiation (Aydogan et al, ). Similarly, chronic exposure of chick embryo liver to 3G mobile phone radiation leads to various structural changes and DNA damage (D'Silva, Swer, Anbalagan, & Rajesh, ).…”

“…Today, there has been growing concern about the possible adverse health effects due to exposure to radiofrequency radiations from mobile phones. In an animal studies by Aydogan F et al, and Ghoneim FM and Arafat EA et al, there were numerous histopathological changes observed in parotid gland of rats, in both short and relatively long term exposure to radiofrequency radiation [28,29]. Human studies done by Duan Y et al, Lonn S et al, Hardell L et al, and Söderqvist F et al, did not support the hypothesis that there was an increased risk of parotid gland tumours due to mobile phone use [33][34][35]38].…”

“…[31] However, 3G mobile phone radiation at 2100 MHz was found to induce many histopathological changes in parotid gland of rats, but no nuclear changes were observed. [32] There are no previously published studies in the literature on the effects of a 2100 MHz EMF on fracture healing in the maxillofacial region. In this respect, this study evaluated the effects of EMF at 2100 MHz on bone fracture healing.…”
