“…There have been few studies about corruption and competition carried out in developing and emerging economies and not much attention has been paid to the impact of corruption on competition in SEE countries. In most studies, corruption is described as catastrophic activities, which diminish democratic governance and the rule of law and have a negative impact on competition and economic growth (Piplica et al, 2021;Subanti et al, 2021;Meyer, 2018).
