This writing aims to identify hyperdigitalizaion of body in online gaming world. Social perspectives are centered on the effects of using digital media on the body, but most studies tend to focus on health issues. Most biodigital studies are found, which see the body from the perspective of Biology and Health. Other studies from a demographic perspective is also found, such as, the relation between the use of information and communication technology (ITC) and the body. The previous study is about digital body as the horcrux of extended-self in post-human era. The study identified what is (social) digital body definition. It is based on one's media social activities. Yet, there is no reseach found about digital body in other media such as online game as a virtual reality. Frameworks used are Baudrillard's Hyperreality and concepts of digital body, avatar, second-self, game and online gaming. This research is a preliminary research which adopts the qualitative approach, relying primarily on previous research on online gamers and digital body and personal interview to some gamers with body issue. The conclusion is the online gamer body has undergone a physical body process into a virtual body in phases: (1). Physical body, (2). Simulation Body; (3). Digital Body, and (4). Virtual Body. This process namely as hyperdigitalization of body, which can be interpreted as a process of the body being hyper digital. This research also define the characteristics of online game avatar as: Controlled-Dematerialized Self, Reembodiment Self, Social-Supportive Self, In-Group Oriented Self, and Cosmopolitan-self.

In his Théorie de l’information et perception esthétique (1958), the sociologist of culture Abraham Moles (1920–92) set out to demonstrate the applicability of information theory—a mathematical linchpin of cybernetics—to the arts more generally. Moles drew on classical psychophysics, Gestalt psychology, more modern behavioral psychology, and contemporary psychoacoustic research to advocate a cybernetic model of the perception and creation of art. Moles repeatedly returned to musical examples therein to make his case, leveraging his dual expertise in philosophy and electroacoustics, drawing on formative experiences with Pierre Schaeffer in Paris and Hermann Scherchen at his Gravesano studio. Moles’s interdisciplinary text found many attentive readers across Europe and, following an English translation by the precocious Joel E. Cohen (1966), the Anglophone academic world, but it was valued more as an inspiration for the burgeoning area of “information aesthetics” than as a source of hard scientific evidence. Drawing lightly on positions in the history and philosophy of science articulated by Gaston Bachelard (who supervised Moles’s second PhD, in philosophy) and Hans-Jörg Rheinberger suggests a change of emphasis away from its apparent scientific infelicities and toward Moles’s use of sound-studio technique, which is described with reference to the technologies available to Moles in the years leading up to the publication of the Théorie. Moles manipulated and processed sound recordings—filtering, clipping, and reversing them—in his attempts to empirically estimate the relative proportions of semantic and aesthetic information in speech and music. Moles’s text, when understood in tandem with the traces of his practical experiments in the sound studio, appears as an influential and occasionally prescient exposition of the many possible applications of the principles of information theory to the production, perception, and consumption of sound culture that makes ready use of the latest technical innovations in the media environment of its time.

At the height of 'the Troubles' in 1976 social-housing in Belfast was in a crisis situation as communities consolidated along ethnic boundaries, often with violent consequences, with some communities becoming drastically overcrowded and others falling into abject dereliction. Using declassified government documentation this paper examines how these events legitimised an emergent confluence of housing and security policy which brought into being the security-threat-community; a socio-material construct where every person is a potential insurgent and every dwelling a potential security-threat. Crucially, the paper problematises the complex entanglement of political, military, paramilitary, economic and ideological forces which shaped its formation. The discussion traces a descent through contingent events within a wider dispositif and reveals the formation of the Standing Committee on the Security Implications of Housing, a confidential government body which assessed the viability of social-housing procurement within communities in terms of the securitythreat it might present rather than the housing-need that it would address. As a complement to post-9-11 discourses concerning increasingly 'globalised conflicts' the security-threat-community reinforces the complexities of local discursivities. The paper makes visible the sophisticated socio-material effects of these operations and illustrates how they remain embedded within contemporary community structures. The paper concludes by reflecting on how this permits conflict-era forces to remain active, but largely unacknowledged, within the postconflict era. Ultimately the paper argues for a 'revaluing of the value' of this conflict-architecture within post-conflict policy frameworks.
