THE DIFFERENTIATION OF WINTER WHEAT (Triticum aestivum L.) CULTIVARS FOR RESISTANCE TO THE MOST HARMFUL FUNGAL PATHOGENS

Abstract: Genetic homogeneity of wheat crops possessing inefficient resistance genes, together with large variability in the mycopathogen virulence result in increasing losses of the harvest from fungal diseases worldwide. Therefore, the persistent long-term resistance varieties are the main element in the strategy of integrated plant protection aimed at reducing risk of environmental pollution by fungicides. Updating the set of such varieties preserving efficiency in different agricultural systems, the regional plannin… Show more

“…Wholegrain emmer wheat cereal is highly competitive due to increased biological value, in particular, increased protein content, including a significant proportion of water-and salt-soluble fractions [24]. In addition, emmer wheat is tolerant to certain diseases and adverse climatic conditions [38]. This creates prerequisites for growing this crop through organic farming.…”

“…Е-mail: LyubichV@gmail.com Постановка проблеми та аналіз останніх досліджень. Пшениця (Triticum aestivum L.) -одна з основних зернових культур не тільки в Україні, а й у всьому світі [1]. Серед усього комплексу агротехнологічних заходів, за умови достатньої забезпеченості рослин вологою, добрива виступають найдієвішим чинником формування врожайності зернових культур [2].…”
