Initial reading difficulties are a phenomenon that occurs almost every school year in elementary school. In response to this phenomenon, the services developed are remedial learning services. In its implementation, remedial learning services are still a debate. On the one hand, remedial services look more at the effectiveness of activity implementation, but on the other hand still do not answer the holistic needs of students. This research was developed with the aim of developing intervention strategies in serving the reading learning needs of students with reading difficulties without having to serve them in specialized classes. The subjects in this study were two students with initial reading difficulties in the third grade of one of the public schools in East Jakarta. This research method is a mixed method. In the first stage, an assessment of reading difficulties was carried out on students. Furthermore, the required strategy is developed and finally analyzes the effectiveness of the strategy used through visual graphs of the achievement of intervention results. The results of this study suggest that through the intervention strategies developed can provide opportunities to improve students' early reading skills. These results have an implication on the development of educational service models for students with beginning reading difficulties in improving beginning reading skills.

Development and Construct Validation of Indonesian Students Self-Confidance Scale Using Pearson Product Moment

The purpose of this study is to develop and validate based on construct validity and sampling validity on a self-confidence scale that can measure student self-confidence at the high school level by adapting self-confidence indicators and adjusting indicators according to the character of students in Indonesia an age range of 16-18 years. total of 405 students from several senior high schools in Indonesia participated in this study. Respondents came from 15 schools in several regions in Indonesia. The validity test uses Pearson Product Moment which is useful for determining the validity or suitability of the instruments used by researchers in measuring and obtaining research data from respondents. while the reliability test used Alpha Cronbach the Self Confidence Scale were said to be reliable (0.794). The basis for taking the Pearson validity test is if the significance value is <0.05 then the items in the instrument are declared valid. And based on the r value of the product moment table with 405 respondents, the significance level value of 5% is more than <0.098, the result is that the instrument scale item is also said to be valid. Based on the results of the Pearson validity test, 11 self-confidence scale statement items were declared invalid or invalid because the significance level value <5% was smaller <0.098. 11 invalid statement items were declared invalid so that there were 45 items of self-confidence scale statements that were declared valid and reliable. And it can be concluded that the 45 items are declared valid and become a valid and reliable self-confidence scale and can be used to measure student selfconfidence. And become instruments in a self-confidence scale that can be used to measure the level of self-confidence of high school students, especially in Indonesia.

This research aims to identify critical thinking skills in motion kinematics material at SMAN 8 Jambi City. The research method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative method. The research subject in this study was the Physics teacher in class XI at SMAN 8 Jambi City. The subject selection technique used was purposive sampling. The findings in this research are students' self-confidence. The self-confidence of class Keywords: Movement Kinematics, Self-Confidence, Learners Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan berpikir kritis pada materi kinematika gerak di SMAN 8 Kota Jambi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Adapun subjek penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah guru mata pelajaran Fisika kelas XI SMAN 8 Kota Jambi. Dengan teknik pemilihan subjek yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Adapun temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah kepercayaan diri siswa. Kepercayaan diri siswa kelas XI F1 dan F2 SMAN 8 Kota Jambi dalam pada materi Kinematika Gerak dalam kategori baik dengan persentase dengan frekuensi 75 siswa, nilai minimum 51,00 dan nilai maksimum 88,00.
