The developmental cycle of Ehrlichia chaffeensis in vertebrate cells

Abstract: SummaryEhrlichia chaffeensis, an obligatory intracellular bacterium, has two forms in mammalian cells: small dense-cored cells (DC) with dense nucleoid and larger reticulate cells (RC) with uniformly dispersed nucleoid.
