This study aimed to produce and to evaluate a curriculum for environmental education to support sustainable development programmes at an environmentally friendly Islamic boarding school (eco-pesantren). It is a development study with a model of area-based curriculum. The development stage includes analysis, design, develop, implementation, and evaluation. This curriculum has been implemented in 3 Islamic boarding schools (107 students). This curriculum contains curriculum foundations, learning outcomes, teaching materials, learning activities, and learning evaluations. The foundation of this curriculum includes philosophical, psychological, organisational, socio-cultural, scientific and technological aspects. Teaching materials focus on the problems faced by students in everyday life. Learning activities include 2 stages (theory and practice). The results of this study indicate that it is a suitable curriculum for use in Islamic boarding schools with an eligibility percentage of 92% (very feasible category) based on aspects of consistency, relevance, effectiveness, completeness, continuity, correctness of content and language. The results of this study also show that this curriculum is practically used in Islamic boarding schools. The practicality of the curriculum is seen from the aspect of good communication, cooperation, sufficient time, and the ease of understanding the material.

Adolescence is a time when a person is in search of identity, trying to get to know who he really is. because they often get figures or role models from television shows and commercial films as well as youth social media which often imitate styles, languages, foreign cultures so that it can lead to a lack of love for the nation's wealth. By implementing the values that exist in folklore, it aims to instill values and attitudes, as well as changes in behavior that occur after the instillation of values and national character education. Folklore contains: 1) presenting the best characters, and 2) ideal figures for youth role models, becoming a representation and picture of social reality, including local wisdom and the social reality of the Indonesian people. Folklore can process the psychology and emotions of the reader. Dramatized plots, interesting storylines, giving surprises and curiosity, characterizations with firm characteristics, language that is easy to digest. This research uses qualitative research to prove that in Indonesian folklore there is the concept of Pancasila students increasing students' reading motivation. , emphasizing student activity and learning outcomes.

The formation of numerical concepts is a critical stage in early childhood development. Understandingnumbers lays the groundwork for future mathematical abilities and academic success. This study aimsto investigate the effect of an open-ended learning strategy on the capacity of 4-5-year-old childrento recognize number concepts. To reach the research goal, a quantitative approach was used, alongwith experimental methodologies. The study participants were children aged 4-5 years old, and datawas collected via total sampling. The experimental group was taught using an open-ended learningtechnique, while the control group followed a traditional structured teaching method. Pre-and post-testswere used to examine the children’s ability to recognize number concepts. Statistical analysis, includingt-tests, was used to compare the performance of the experimental and control groups. The results of thisstudy show that using an open-ended learning strategy improves the capacity of 4-5-year-old children torecognize number concepts. In comparison to traditional structured teaching method, the open-endedapproach stimulates active inquiry, independent thinking, and problem-solving, which improves children’scognitive development with regard to numerical concepts. This study suggests that open-ended learningtechniques are excellent educational strategies for developing number concept identification in youngchildren. This study’s findings have ramifications for early childhood educators and curriculum makers.This study stresses the necessity of implementing such tactics in educational settings by demonstratingthe benefits of an open-ended learning strategy in developing number concept awareness. Open-endedlearning techniques can improve children’s mathematics ability while also contributing to their generalcognitive development. Furthermore, these findings may motivate additional study and inquiry into theuse of open-ended learning approaches in various domains of early childhood education, increasing ourunderstanding of successful teaching strategies for young children.
