The Development of Medicine and Health Care in Podillia in the Xix at the Beginning of Xx Century

Abstract: The article is devoted to coverage of problems in medicine and health care in Podillia in 1793–1917 years. It is noted that in all corners of the Podillia region, the level of professional medicine in Podillia was extremely low. It was analyzed that in the vast majority of cases the medical aid was provided by charlatans and adventurers who shamelessly sold “miraculous medicines”, and the initiators of medical sanitation on Podillia were mostly city and city dwellers.
