Abstract:Introduction: Phytoremediation is a natural process in which plants absorb and store heavy metals (Pb, Cd, As...) from the soil through their roots. An excess of metals can cause various diseases in the body.Contamination of soil with heavy metals may occur by oil and fuel spills from vehicles.
