Among the numerous weevil mitogenomes available on GenBank, these were selected because they represent the greatest available diversity of potentially related taxa in the Curculioninae, Conoderinae, Cossoninae, Molytinae, and Scolytinae (CCCMS) clade of the family Curculionidae [ 58 ], in which Anchonocranus evidently belongs, in particular of tribes in the current subfamily Curculioninae, in which it has been traditionally classified.…”
