Moderate Islamic values are considered as a very important element that should be implemented within education institutions context. Studies on the implementation of moderate Islamic values within education institution contexts In Indonesia have been carried out within middle and higher education institutions. However, limited studies have been conducted to understand moderate Islamic values implementation within elementary schools context. Therefore, the aim of this study is to examine the implementation of moderate Islamic values within elementary schools context in Indonesia. This study used the qualitative case study method, and the data was gathered through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and written document analysis. The findings of this study show that an elementary school in Alkhairraat Palu, Indonesia, has implemented a number of moderate Islamic values within the school context. Those moderate Islamic values include moral values. Moderate character values, tolerance, and mutual respect values. Those values were integrated into the school's curriculum, extracurricular activities, and extra curricula activities. Students and teachers are imposed to implement moderate Islamic values within the daily school context.

This study discusses the role of teachers in improving students' cognitive competency in Islamic education lessons through the recitation method. This study uses qualitative methods, and the data was gathered through field observation, in-depth interviews, and written document analysis. Direct observation was conducted during the teaching and learning process, while in-depth interviews were carried out with teachers and students. Document analysis was conducted to see teaching material preparation and student learning performance scores. The results of this study show that the teacher's role in improving students' cognitive abilities in Islamic religious education subjects through the recitation method has been well implemented in every meeting. The teacher's role includes the use of the recitation method in every meeting of Islamic religious lessons. The impact of using the recitation method can improve students' cognitive abilities in mastering Islamic religious subject matter. Besides that, students' motivation and interest in studying Islam are also improving because the recitation method gives them the freedom to master Islamic religious education material. In conclusion, the recitation method is very suitable for learning Islamic religion because it is related to mastering the verses of the Koran and hadith. For this reason, teachers and Islamic education institutions need to think about applying the recitation method in Islamic religious learning when the material is mostly related to the Al-Quran and hadith.

This study describes the application of principal learning leadership in increasing teacher professionalism at Brother Kanisius Elementary School, Pontianak. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were school principals and teachers. Observation, interviews and documentation were carried out for data collection. Data analysis goes through stages: reduction, display, and conclusion. The data validity technique uses technical triangulation and data source triangulation. The results of the study show that the application of the Principal's learning leadership in improving teacher professionalism in the Brother Kanisius Pontianak Elementary School, namely: (1) The effectiveness of the Principal's learning leadership in building and maintaining the school vision at SD Brother Kanisius Pontianak is perfect and practical. The Principal is always committed and guided by the school's vision in managing and leading the school. (2) The Principal in leading the learning community, which has an influence on the professionalism of teachers at the Brother Kanisius Elementary School in Pontianak, has been very good with the improvement in the performance of the teaching and education staff at the school as well as the achievements achieved by students both academically and non-academicly. (3) The Principal's learning leadership in using data and monitoring the curriculum when making decisions in learning at the Brother Kanisius Elementary School in Pontianak has been carried out effectively, and the results are excellent. The school principal has developed an academic supervision program to increase teacher professionalism, conduct academic supervision of teachers using appropriate supervision approaches and techniques, and assess and follow up on supervision activities. (4) Obstacles in implementing the Principal's learning leadership have been overcome by collaborating with the entire school community and related agencies.
