The reaction of polystyrene macroanions with poly(dimethoxyethy1ene) macrocations was investigated in a toluenc solution at -78 "C. The reaction products were separated according to solubilitJ-and analyzed by spectroscopic methods and GPC. I t was established that a block copolymer of cis-1,2-dimethoxyethylene and styrene is formed, which confirms previous suggestions about the high stability of an active centre in the polymerization of cis-1,2-dimetlioxyetliylene. Die Reaktion von Polystyren-Makroanionen mil Poly(dimethoxyethy1en)-MakrokationenDie Realition von Polystyren-Makroanionen mit Poly(dimethoxyethy1en)-Makrokationen wurde in Toluenlosung bci -78°C untersucht. Die Reaktionsprodukte wurden nach ihrer Loslichkeit getrennt nnd spektroskopisch sowie tlurch GPC analysiert. Es wurde gefunden, da13 bei der Reaktion ein Blockcopolymer von cis-1,2-Dimethoxyethylcn und Styren entsteht, womit fruhere Annahmen uber die hohe Stabilitat eines aktiven Zentrums bei der Yolymerisation von cis-1 ,f-Dimethoxyethylen bestatigt werden.
