The behaviour of Tenax as food simulant in the migration of polymer additives from food contact materials by means of gas chromatography/mass spectrometry and PARAFAC

Abstract:  Migration of polymer additives from food contact materials into Tenax was studied  PARAFAC enabled the unequivocal identification in the presence of coeluting compounds  Some of the m/z ratios of the coeluting interferents were shared with the analytes  Tenax as a suitable food simulant is questioned considering its adsorption capability  BP and DiBP have migrated from PVC film and from PP coffee capsules
