A controversial correlation between plasma leptin and BP and impaired fasting glucose or insulin resistance was published [27-29,40,42], however Wannamethee et al found no association of plasma leptin and blood glucose, BP, and total cholesterol, which was identical to the results of this study and those of Wang et al [28,29].
