In facing the dynamics of an ever-changing strategic environment, the Indonesian National Army (TNI AD) is required to ensure effective and adaptive recruitment policies to continue to meet the needs of qualified personnel and suit increasingly complex tasks. This review provides insight into the need for continuity in evaluation and changes in recruitment policies. This research aims to analyze and examine the effect of Suitability Recruitment, Consistency of Recruitment, The results are as follows: Suitability Recruitment has no positive effect on Credibility of Recruitment. In contrast, Consistency of Recruitment positively affects Credibility of Recruitment. Similarly, Legality of Recruitment shows positive effect on Credibility of Recruitment. This has been also shown in the context of Recruitment Transparency where it has positively affected Credibility of Recruitment. The results highlight the need for flexibility and diversification in recruitment policies. Army to continue gathering information and adapting recruitment policies as needed. Hence, this research underlines the importance of developing responsive recruitment policies and continuously innovating to ensure suitability between policies and the demands of the developing strategic environment. The result also provides a recommendation for scholars and practitioners in making better recruitment policy and development.

The reconquest of West Irian by the Dutch colonialists was a very tiring and hard struggle. The Dutch had a hidden intention to separate West Irian from Indonesian territory. The Dutch government violated the agreements of the Round Table Conference, the Teak Circle Agreement, and International Law. The Indonesian side carried out military operations on Gurita, Rajawali, Djatayu, and finally the Djayawidjaya military operation to retake West Irian. The purpose of this research is to provide an overview and analysis regarding the attitudes and strategies of the two parties in the West Irian conflict from the aspects of political/diplomatic, military and economic strategy. The writing method uses descriptive analysis method, by analyzing the facts that occurred in the struggle to seize West Irian from Dutch rule, supported by literature studies, literature, national and international scientific journals, theoretical and juridical. The results of the research show that there is a relationship and cooperation between activities in the field of politics/diplomacy and the military sector, because in essence the two fields have the same goal and help each other. To get maximum results, politics/diplomacy needs to be supported by military force, and vice versa military power needs political/diplomatic support to ask for huge costs in winning war goals. The war strategy in the future does not only rely on politics/diplomacy and the role of the military alone, but must involve all other components of national defense and be implemented in its entirety.Keywords: Connection; Cooperation; Politics/Diplomacy; Military.

The presented study results from qualitative research conducted within the national project "Increasing Slovakia's resilience to hybrid threats by strengthening public administration capacities". Its content reflects the fulfilment of the main goalidentifying four pillars that need to be understood in connection with the concept of hybrid threats and a specific focus on the Police Force or members of the Police Force as well as experts from practice from the National Security Office. The authors also examine the definitions and conceptualisation of hybrid threats, which subsequently led them to identify the key features appropriate for the framework of the chosen research. When preparing this study, theoretical scholarly knowledge from the professional literature and the practical experience of experts from practice were processed. The authors also drew on facts they acquired during guided interviews conducted between May and July 2023 with members of the "first contact" point of the Police Force, general crime investigators, future Police Force members, students of the Police Force Academy in Bratislava and experts from practice, to gain insights and also to detect ambiguities in connection with the concept of hybrid threats.
