Temperature Dependence of the Amplified Spontaneous Emission from CsPbBr3 Nanocrystal Thin Films

Abstract: Cesius lead halide perovskite colloidal nanocrystals are among the most promising perovskite systems for light emitting devices applications, due to their high fluorescence quantum yield and high optical gain at room temperature. In this Letter, we report on the first investigation of the temperature dependence of the Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) properties of thin films of CsPbBr 3 nanocrystals. We demonstrate that ASE is strongly temperature dependent, with a complex variation in temperature of the A… Show more

“…To further explore the luminescence mechanism of CsPbBr 3 ‐ES, temperature‐dependent photoluminescence spectra were recorded at temperatures ranging from 80 to 298 K. As shown in Figure a, with an increase of temperature, the emission peak of CsPbBr 3 ‐ES showed a continuous blueshift and the corresponding emission intensity becomes weaker . This phenomenon was also observed from other semiconductors such as CH 3 NH 3 PbX 3 quantum dots , .…”

“…Recently, temperature‐dependent PL/lasing spectra and related carrier dynamics have been actively investigated . For instance, Balena et al reported the temperature‐related ASE properties in CsPbBr 3 QDs thin films . The result shows that ASE in QDs was strongly temperature‐dependent, with a complex variation in temperature of the ASE intensity, threshold, and wavelength.…”

“…Jun Pan et al has reported the ASE threshold of the CsPbBr 3 thin films to be 192 and 12 mJ cm −2 under single‐photon and two‐photon pump laser, respectively . Besides, a series of studies were performed to further reduce the ASE or lasing threshold of the CsPbBr 3 QDs thin films …”
