Technogenic Rock Dumps Physical Properties' Prognosis via Results of the Structure Numerical Modeling

Abstract: Abstract. Understanding of internal structure of the technogenic rock dumps (gob dumps) is required condition for estimation of using ones as filtration massifs for treatment of mine wastewater. Internal structure of gob piles greatly depends on dumping technology to applying restrictions for use them as filtration massifs. Numerical modelling of gob dumps allows adequately estimate them physical parameters, as a filtration coefficient, density, etc. The gob dumps numerical modelling results given in this arti… Show more

“…The instability of properties of the thickened product is due to the specifics of the production process of coal processing [18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26]. To carry out experimental work on the dewatering of thickened product, the methodology of the experiment was developed and approved [27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34]. “…The resulting downwarping can be divided into five types [7][8]: -synclinal -in the development of deposit seams of medium (from 1.5 to 3 m) and large (more than 3 m) thickness, horizontal and wavy bedding or dipping at low angles (up to 27 °). Mould of rock dislocation is in the zone of downwarping; -synclinal terraced -in the development of deposits dipping at low angles or inclined (from 27O to 45 °).…”

“…In order to significantly reduce the negative impact of coal concentration plants on the environment, it is necessary to create closed water cycles at these enterprises [1][2][3][4][5][6]. Preliminary treatment of industrial wastewater from mining enterprises is mainly aimed at cleaning them from suspended solids, especially with the use of technogenic filter massifs from overburden rock [7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14]. The use of geotextile materials for dewatering of water-coal slurry makes sense at further purification of sludge water released from the surface of shell filtering constructions [15][16][17].…”
