“…As revealed in Tables 1 and 2, students' attitudes towards the English language education policies in Kurdistan (M=3.91) were slightly lower than their attitudes towards the English language (M=4.61). This corroborates the proposition that further necessary action needs to be taken to improve the English language materials and methods as well as other policies employed for teaching the English language, as confirmed by (Sofi-Karim, 2015), that part of the failures of English instruction in Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan is associated with the English textbooks used in both schools and universities and that the new syllabi do not meet students' needs and desires. He thinks that the new education policies and reforms are based on communicative language teaching and studentcenteredness, but teachers encounter serious problems in teaching due to the lack of infrastructure, such as computers, projectors, electricity, and the Internet.…”
