Teaching content in practice: Investigating rehearsals of social studies discussions

Abstract: Despite evidence of its benefits, discussion remains rare in history/social science classrooms. To address this problem, communities of teacher educators (TEs) have begun supporting novices to approximate discussion facilitation.
