“…The topics for the case studies included perspectives of supervision from a Latina-identified supervisor (Reynaga-Abiko, 2010), cultural competence for community mental health practitioners (Delphin & Rowe, 2008), a commentary on teaching clinical competence (Lytle, 2007), how to effectively mentor students of color (Alvarez, Blume, Cervantes, & Rey Thomas, 2009), and how to incorporate motivational interviewing techniques to teach diversity (Venner & Verney, 2015). These case studies all focused on how the Guidelines, in general, can be utilized to increase multicultural awareness from different perspectives.…”
