The purpose of the study was to describe the implementation of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) Learning model to improve students' speaking achievement. The students' pretest results led to this study's conduct. Merely ten pupils surpassed the minimal scoring requirements (KKM). The Classroom Action Research (CAR) research method was employed. This research was conducted at SMAN 4 Sidoajo. The subject of this research was the first-grade students (10th) in SMAN 4 Sidoarjo. The participants were from class X-K, consisting of 40 students (17 males and 23 females). This research was carried out from November 16 until December 7, 2023. The tools were a questionnaire, an observation sheet, and a subjective test. Observations were analyzed using descriptive qualitative. Subjective tests were analyzed using the percentage of data. Questionnaires were analyzed using quantitative Percentage data. The students' speaking scores improved from 78% to 90%; out of 40 students, 36 passed the test. Additionally, there was an increase in the student's participation on the observation sheet and in their answers to the Questionnaire Questionnaire distributed at the previous meeting. As a result, teaching with the NHT learning approach can improve students' speaking achievement.

Learning experience particularly performed by students. Learning outcomes influenced by students’ learning experience. This study aims to explore EFL students’ experiences through differentiated learning instruction, which focuses on readiness, interest, and learning environment aspects in the Cultural Studies classroom. This research applied the qualitative method with a narrative inquiry approach. To collect the data, the researcher used a semi-structured interview to consider the narration of English Language Education 6th semester in English Language Education Department at Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. The results of the study showed that some EFL students experiences by using differentiated learning instruction improved their readiness in having self-esteem for their knowledge and English language skills, improved their interest in the form of students’ attitude and teacher’s roles, and learning environment by showing their comfortable situation in expressing opinions in discussion. Furthermore, the study found that there were several impacts by using differentiated learning instruction for EFL students. This study recommended for the students to help each other in the learning process. In addition, the researcher also suggested the teacher to overcome student’s problems or what the student’s needs by using differentiated learning instruction.

The curriculum in Indonesia has undergone several changes, one of curriculum changes is the 2013 curriculum to Merdeka curriculum. Merdeka curriculum is a new educational approach that aimed to give more freedom to students in choosing how to learn. The aimed of this research is to clarify the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in teaching English at high school and to find the problems encountered by teachers in the implementation of Merdeka curriculum at high school. The method used in this research was a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection process used observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The subjects of this research were three English teachers who had taken part in the Merdeka Curriculum training. The findings of this research indicate that the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum has been implemented at high school with direction from the Ministry of Education and Culture. The teacher creates learning outcomes, the flow of learning objectives, and teaching modules. Teachers also transfer the Pancasila student profile in implementing Merdeka curriculum. The problems faced by teachers in implementing Merdeka Curriculum are that teachers do not understand how to implement Merdeka curriculum, then the curriculum changes rapidly, and teachers also experience obstacles in using digital technology.
