“…Later, Nygaard (1977), who has reported this variety from lakes in Greenland, changed its name into Pediastrum orientale. Pediastrum orientale was also found in subfossil sediments from the locality Lysmosen, Denmark (Nielsen and Sørensen 1992). The only locality of this species in Poland was reported by Wo³owski et al (2002) from ¯abie oko peat bog in the Tatra Mountains.…”
