“…Compared with the experimental model of Dox-induced injury of rat myocardium, injection with isorhamnetin reduced the mortality and the cardiac index, decreased the level of serum cardiac enzymes, and improved the histological damage in the heart, suggesting that isorhamnetin exerts a prominent protective action against Dox-induced myocardial injury in vivo. In accordance with this result, in vitro experiments of the present study also showed that pretreatment with isorhamnetin can effectively increase the cell viability and inhibit the release of LDH induced by Dox in H9c2 cardiomyocytes, which are considered as the biomarker of cardiotoxicity [30].…”

“…Tissue homogenates were prepared with 0.1 M TrisHCl-EDTA buffer (pH 7.4), and supernatant of homogenates was employed to estimate nitric oxide in the form of nitrite (µM·mg -1 of protein) (Bitar et al, 2005), total protein, MDA (µM·mg -1 protein) (Tikoo et al, 2011) and GSH (nM·mg -1 of protein).…”

“…Biol. Chem., 9 (6): 332-340, 2015 According to a work published in the 2010 year; tannic acid were prevented the activation of PARP-1, reduced Bax and increased Bcl-2 expression in H9c2 cells, thus, preventing doxorubicin-induced cell death (Tikoo et al, 2011).…”
