“…Compared with the experimental model of Dox-induced injury of rat myocardium, injection with isorhamnetin reduced the mortality and the cardiac index, decreased the level of serum cardiac enzymes, and improved the histological damage in the heart, suggesting that isorhamnetin exerts a prominent protective action against Dox-induced myocardial injury in vivo. In accordance with this result, in vitro experiments of the present study also showed that pretreatment with isorhamnetin can effectively increase the cell viability and inhibit the release of LDH induced by Dox in H9c2 cardiomyocytes, which are considered as the biomarker of cardiotoxicity [30].…”
