Tai Chi, Qigong and the Treatment of Depression and Anxiety

Abstract: Qigong exercises are gentle exercises that have been a part of traditional Chinese medicine [TCM] for thousands of years. Tai chi is a series of gentle movements that improve balance, strength, flexibility and overall health. It incorporates qigong principles and is also a form of TCM. The present study summarizes the results of recent studies on the effect of qigong and tai chi on the treatment of depression.
