“…In this specific location, only amorphous milky‐white areas were detected, corresponding to the pathological findings of the luminal deposition of the tumour . Another SCAP arising in a naevus sebaceus of the scalp in a 6‐year‐old boy was characterized by a central yellowish area with polymorphic vessels and a peripheral pinkish‐white rim of hairpin vessels . The most recently reported SCAP to date was a combined lesion composed of multiple pigmented trichoblastomas and a SCAP of the scalp .…”

“…The dermoscopic features of SCAP have described to date in five studies including 13 lesions . The largest series included nine lesions (all arising in naevi sebaceus) that were characterised mainly by exophytic papillary structures.…”

“…The reports describing the dermoscopic features of SCAP are limited in the published literature 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. In these cases, SCAP lesions were mostly associated with nevus sebaceous2, 3, 4, 5 except 1 case of linear SCAP 1 . The dermoscopic features of SCAP described in those reports were exophytic papillary structures with central depression/erosion/crust/ulceration and vascular structures (hairpin, polymorphous, or comma vessels) on a milky red or erythematous background.…”

“…The authors noted that the most common dermoscopic pattern associated with their SCAP cases was a symmetric erythematous lesion with “exophytic papillary structures,” followed by a central depression, ulceration and vessels (hairpin vessels, polymorphous vessels and comma vessels). Similarly, Dumen et al, [ 24 ] have also documented dermoscopic features in a case of SCAP with nevus sebaceous. The dermoscopic examination in the aforementioned case revealed central yellowish-white discoloration, polymorphic vessels including irregular dotted, hairpin-like, glomerular and linear vessels with a surrounding pinkish-white rim and peripheral hairpin like vessels.…”
