Syphilis: A Cohort Study on prevalence, among recently HIV diagnosed in São Paulo, Brazil

Abstract: Introduction The Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) are a Public Health problem concern Worldwide. They not only have a direct, but also an indirect impact on sexual Health in afflicted person's life, as they facilitate the sexual transmission of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). In 2016, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimated 6,3 million new Syphilis infections out of 376 million STIs (95% CI: 5,5-7,1 million).
