“…The former implies the vibration of Cu-O bond along the c-axis, while the latter represents movement in the triangular lattice perpendicular to the c-axis[29,30]. As is shown in Figure2, the spectrum of CuFeO 2 displays two typical vibrational modes, which is consistent with other delafossite structure[31,32]. The two modes identified as σ(A 1g ) at 685 cm −1 and σ(E g ) at 344 cm −1 may be related to the spectral features of the O-Cu-O chain and edge-sharing FeO 6 octahedra, respectively.…”

“…Dong et al * corresponding author; e-mail: k.siedliska@pollub.pl synthesized thin films of Co-doped transparent CuAlO 2 semiconductors which exhibited weak ferromagnetism at room temperature [10]. Likewise, Elkhouni et al presented several papers on cobalt substituted CuCrO 2 and proved that the incorporation of magnetic ions into delafossite structure induce new spin ordering and enhance magnetization [11,12].…”

“…It appears that there are 2 important elements, namely Cu-O dumbbells and CrO6 layers where each element affects the physical properties of CuCrO2 crystals. The electrical properties of CuCrO2 are influenced by Cu-O dumbbells [19], [20] while the magnetic properties are influenced by the planar CrO6 [12,21]. If the distance between Cu -O gets bigger, the atomic volume will be bigger which will make the electrons along the dumbbell move easier so that it will increase the conductivity value [16,22].…”
