“…In case of CV1 and CV2, the FT-IR spectra are mostly composites of those of c-ZrP and free dye, except for the absorption bands around the region 1,600-1,400 cm -1 , where these bands assigned to the CC stretching vibrations of the aromatic rings, appear in the spectrum of free CV dye. It can be concluded that, upon protonation these bands shift to higher frequencies, as in the case of porphyrins [17] and a-diimines [18]. Thus, the free CV dye has strong absorption at 1,585, 1,470, 1,364 and 1,173 cm -1 , whereas these bands almost disappeared in the intercalates.…”
