Synthesis of tritium and deuterium labeled 8‐N‐n‐butyl‐N‐methylamino‐8‐(3‐hydroxyphenyl)‐1,4‐dioxaspiro[4,5]decane hydrochloride

Abstract

SUMMARYThe title compound, a 4-amino-4-arylcyclohexanone derivative with central analgesic activit was labeled with tritium at the C-7 and C-9 positions. Deuterium lakeled intermediates were used as models for developing isotope exchange and synthetic procedures. Deuterium and tritium labeled title compounds were obtained in five steps with overall yields of 18-22% from 1,4dioxaspiro[4,S]-decan-8-one and 3-bromophenol.
