“…Generally, the heterocyclic units in the main chain, and in the pendant structure, impart excellent thermal stability with improved solubility, which justifies the research efforts directed toward them [7][8][9][10][11][12] . The incorporation of bulky pendant groups can provide beneficial effects for solubility, because this approach produces a separation of chains, a weakening of hydrogen bonding, and a lowering of chain packing with a gain of free volume, which diminishes the T g s. On the contrary, bulky side groups also restrict molecular mobility, so that the overall observable effect is an increase in T g s.
