Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using Triticum aestivum and Its Effect on Peroxide Catalytic Activity and Toxicology

Abstract: The synthesis of stable silver nanoparticles using bioreduction method was investigated. Biological synthesis of silver nanoparticles usingTriticum aestivum(khapali ghahu) extract was investigated. The effect of a specific variety of plants and how it affects the growth of silver nanoparticles was investigated in our work and it was polydispersed. UV-visible spectroscopy was used to monitor the formation of silver nanoparticles within 15 minutes. The peaks in XRD pattern are in good agreement with those of fac… Show more

“…The synthesized AgNPs using Gloriosa superba extract act through the electron relay effect and influence the degradation of methylene blue at the end of the 30 min [249]. Hydrogen peroxide reduction proceeds rapidly with the excellent catalytic activity of polydispersed silver nanoparticles produced using Triticum aestivum (khapali ghahu) extract [250]. The reduction of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) to 4-aminophenol (4-AP) efficiently carried out in the presence of Breynia rhamnoides-AgNPs and NaBH 4 and found to be depend upon the nanoparticle size or the stem extract concentration [251].…”

“…jujuba pericarp is owing to the activation of surface plasmon vibrations (Elechiguerra et al 2005). A breadth absorption peak was observed at 450 nm, which proves the synthesized items of Ag (Mude et al 2009, Waghmode et al 2013. The absorbance band around 300 to 650 nm suggests that spherical or nearly spherical of AgNPs had been formed (Pal et al 2007).…”

“…The strong band at 1602 and 1362/cm was mainly attributed to the amide bands, -C-N stretching vibrations of proteins. The peak located at 1023/cm can be assigned as the absorption peak of C-O stretching (Waghmode et al 2013). The weak band at 2089.8 cm -1 is due to the C = N stretching of R -N = C = S (Mickymaray 2019).…”

“…This conduction of free electrons on the surface of the silver nanoparticles results in good electrical conductivity. 53,54 The electrical properties of the electrode were evaluated by measuring the ohmic resistance with a two-probe digital multimeter, as shown in Fig. 12(a).…”
