“…Fig. 4 shows the relationship between reaction temperature and heat of crystallization (DH c ) for samples (~) treated at 51 kPa F 2 for 24 h. The heat of crystallization [18,[21][22][23] was determined from the exothermic peak area at crystallization temperature (T c ) in DSC profiles. The DH c values for samples (~) are scattered as shown in Fig.…”

“…The three thicknesses of thin PTFE membranes were prepared by wire-bar coater at atmospheric circumstances (wire-bar No. 9,12,16, coating speed: 16 mm/s, drying time by Halogen heater: 30 s), and were subjected to heat treatment at 80 C for 20 h and 150 C for 24 h. After sintering treatment, cross-linked PTFE (RX PTFE) membranes, and PTFE film (Naflon ® tape, NICHIAS) with the thickness of 50μm, which was used for comparison, were fabricated by EB (CURETRON ® , acceleration voltage: 200 kV, current: 1 mA, installed at RISE, Waseda University, NHV Corp.) irradiation under the nitrogen atmosphere at 335±5 C [9][10][11]. The irradiated RX PTFEs were grafted with styrene by EB irradiation at 15 kGy in the nitrogen atmosphere at room temperature (EB grafting method).…”

“…For example, the crosslinked PTFE shows the high transparency due to low crystallinity, low gas transmittance, high radiation durability, and so on. Moreover, chemical structure and reaction mechanism of crosslinked PTFE have been studied by using solid-state 19 F magic angle spinning (MAS) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) [4,[6][7][8], electron spin resonance (ESR) [9,10] and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and so on [6,[8][9][10].…”
