Synthesis of New [1,5]-Benzodiazepine Derivatives Catalyzed by Various Aliphatic Acids

Abstract: A series of some new[1,5]benzodiazepines has been synthesized using condensation reaction of o-phenelendiamine with different newly synthesized quinolinyl ketones and effect of different aliphatic acids used as a catalyst was studied. Among the catalytic screened aliphatic acid, chloroacetic acid are a versatile catalyst that modify the yield (60-95%) in short reaction time.
