Synthesis of N-Benzylideneaniline by Schiff base reaction using Kinnow peel powder as Green catalyst and comparative study of derivatives through ANOVA techniques

Abstract: The cheap and easy availability of the Kinnow peel waste has reported various applications due to presence of multifunctional groups. Therefore, in present study we explored its application to synthesize N-Benzylideneaniline and its derivatives based on Schiff base reaction. Kinnow peel powder is characterized by FTIR, TEM, SEM, XRD, EDX, and TGA for functional groups, morphology, surface, elements and thermal stability. Benzaldehyde, aniline, and their derivatives such as 4-methyl benzaldehyde, 4-hydroxy benz… Show more

“…131 Amine, Schiff base, and aconitic acid were common pH-responsive functional groups and have been reported in a number of works to prepare transformable nanosystems (Table 2). 132,133 Depending on the pH, amines can be protonated at acidic pH and become positively charged. This process is reversible with relatively fast kinetics.…”

“…The pervaporation cell has a capacity of 120 mL. In static mode, the temperature of the load is kept constant during the process thanks to the circulation of a thermostatic fluid (water) passing between the walls of the cell containing the load (1). The pervaporation process operates in static mode and the temperature of the feed in the tank (2) is kept constant using a thermostatic coil immersed in the mixture.…”
