“…The following equations were demonstrated to express the Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption isotherms, eqn (S3) and (S4), † respectively, which may be used for both multilayer and heterogeneous surface adsorption. 2,75,76 The data t the Langmuir isotherms model well based on the results in Fig. 7a and b, and the maximum monolayer adsorption capacities (q max ) of the catalysts were computed and given in Table 5.…”

“…In their work, the Cu-BTC was prepared by dissolving copper metal precursor in deionised water while BTC was dissolved in ethanol. The solution was then heated at 100 o C for 10 hours followed by washing with methanol for three days (Ediati et al, 2021).…”

“…In RSM, optimization has an important role in generating the best condition that gives the highest response, wherein this case it is used to find out the optimum level of each independent parameter in the synthesis of HKUST-1. In the previous studies, HKUST-1 has been tried to adsorb some dyes in aqueous solution with a fairly high removal efficiency, such as congo red (>90%) [50], malachite green (83.4%), eosin yellow (94.9%) [51], and methylene blue (~95%) [52]. Hence, this study targeted the optimum HKUST-1 which could adsorb crystal violet dye in an aqueous solution with a removal efficiency close to or higher than previous studies.…”
