Synthesis of Dibenzo-Fused Seven-Membered Heterocycles via Copper-Catalyzed Cyclization of 2-Haloaniline Compounds

Abstract: A one-step synthesis of dibenzo-fused seven-membered nitrogen heterocycles from acetophenones/benzophenones and 2haloanilines, via a copper-catalyzed amination, was developed. The reaction involves amination followed by intramolecular cyclization.
