Synthesis of CoFe2O4/BiOI nanocomposite; Its application as an antibacterial agent

Abstract: The antibacterial properties of CFO/BiOI nanocomposite were investigated in our current study because of their importance in Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Bacillus cereus. MIC, MBC, Disk Diffusion, and IC50 tests cefalotin (CF), amoxicillin (AMX), gentamicin (GM), Trimethoprim‐sulphamethoxazole (SXT), and Ceftriaxone (CRO) antibiotics in concentration 30, 10, 10, 25, and 30  μg were used, respectively. Various techniques such as X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron … Show more

“…H-bonds with other substances and properties such as amphipathy and acid-base make them excellent catalysts in the reaction process. 197,198 IL-based catalysts provide numerous benefits compared with traditional catalysts, such as their high adjustability and recyclability, reduced metal and halogen pollution, and enhanced separation between the catalyst and the product. In addition, IL-based catalytic systems offer a notable advantage in terms of reducing neutralization after the reaction, thereby enhancing their sustainability.…”
