Synthesis of (Benzofurano)(benzothieno)germole

Abstract: Diphenyl(benzofurano)(benzothieno)germole (BFBTG) was prepared by the reaction of dilithio(benzothienylbenzofuran) with dichlorodiphenylgermane. Optical, thermal, and electrochemical properties of BFBTG were investigated in comparison with those of bis(benzofurano)germole and bis(benzothieno)germole.
