Synthesis of Ag-PVA and Ag-PVA/PET-s20 composites by supercritical CO2 method and study of silver nanoparticle growth

“…If the metal colloids coagulate their antibacterial activities are poor and this problem can be overcome by encapsulating metal nanoparticles with polymer materials (Mbhele et al, 2003). PVA is known makes the silver nanoparticles smaller in size, more uniform in shape, and narrower in size distribution (Silva et al, 2008).
