Synthesis of a phosphorus‐ and nitrogen‐containing flame retardant and evaluation of its application in waterborne polyurethane

Abstract: A phosphorus-and nitrogen-containing intumescent flame retardant, pentaerythritol di-N-hydroxyethyl phosphamide (PDNP), was synthesized with phosphorus oxychloride, pentaerythritol, and ethanolamine as raw materials.
