Synthesis, Identification, and Biological Study for Some Complexes of Azo Dye Having Theophylline

Abstract: This article includes the synthesis of heterocyclic azo dye of theophylline by coupling diazonium salt of 4-chloroaniline with theophylline which is, namely, 8-(1-(4-chlorophenyl)azo)theophylline (CPAT). The complexes of cobalt and nickel were prepared by reacting their ions with CPAT ligand in ethanol under 1 : 2 ratio metal-ligand. The CPAT ligand and its complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectrometry, electronic absorption spectroscopy, molar conductivity, and magnetic moment. The… Show more

“…Likewise, the spectra showed, a band at 1434 cm −l assigned to azo group [16], while the absorption bands were found at 2923 and 3024 cm -l assigned to C-H aliphatic and C-H aromatic, respectively [17]. A group of bands at 1596-1504 cm -1 was attributed to the vibration of C═C aromatic.…”

“…The 2-(2-(1H-indol-2-yl)ethyl)diazinyl)-5aminophenol 1 H-NMR spectrawere measured in DMSO-d6 as the solvent and using TMS as an internal reference, as shown in Figure S1. The ligand has undergone studies and is listed in Table 2 [12][13][14].…”

“…Sulfonamides have been utilized to treat cancer as a chemotherapeutic agent and a number of diseases greater than antifungals, non-peptide vasopressin receptor antagonists, antihypertensive agents, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, translation initiation inhibitors, antineoplastic agents, diuretics, thyroid inhibitors, antitumor, carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, and glucocorticoid inhibitors are among the 30 sulfonamide derivatives in clinical use [18][19][20][21]. Blood, potassium channels, carboxypeptidase inhibitors, hepatitis viral (HCV) polymerase inhibitors, protease inhibitors, and the HIV-1 integrity [22][23][24][25]. In this work, we attempted to use a diazotization coupling reaction between sulfamethoxazole (a sulfur-containing organic compound) and (8-hydroxyquinoline) to form [4-((8-hydroxyquinolin-7-yl)-N(4-methylisoxazol-3yl)benzene sulfonamide(HL)], which is classified as an azo-compound that coordinates with each of Ni(II), Pt(IV), Pd(II), and Rh(III).…”
