Cho et al's preliminary sensitivity tests reveal that 1-methyl-2,4,5-trinitroimidazole is a promising candidate as an insensitive high explosive, with its explosive performances comparable to RDX and with its sensitivity intermediate between RDX and TNT [9,14].
