Synthesis and Voltammetric Determination of Pb(II) Using a ZIF-8-Based Electrode

Abstract: Zeolite imidazole framework-8 (ZIF-8) was prepared by the hydrothermal process. e obtained ZIF-8 was a characteristic of X-ray-diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), thermal gravity-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA), and dynamic light scattering (DLS). e obtained ZIF-8 possessed large specific area and was highly dispersed. Its morphology consisted of nanospherical particles with 30-50 nm in diameter. Chemical stability of ZIF-8 in different conditions was studied.e ZIF-8 was used as a… Show more

“…The fabricated sensor has shown selective and sensitive detection of metal ions with detection limits up to 10 nM (Veerakumar et al, 2015 for selective detection of lead ions in aqueous solution. Moreover, the electrochemical response of the sensor shows lower detection limit of Pb ions (4.12-12.50 ppb) with optimized reaction parameters and wide linear range from 12 ppb to 100 ppb (Khieu et al, 2018).…”
