Synthesis and spectral characterization of macrocyclic NiII complexes derived from various diamines, NiII perchlorate and 1,4-bis(2-carboxyaldehydephenoxy)butane

Abstract: Six new macrocyclic complexes were synthesized by reaction of 1,4-bis(2-carboxyaldehyde phenoxy)butane with various diamines. Then, their nickel(II) perchlorate complexes were synthesized by the template effect by reaction of 1,4-bis(2-carboxyaldehyde phenoxy)butane, Ni(ClO 4 ) 2 AE 6H 2 O and various diamines. The metal-to-ligand ratio of Ni II metal complexes was found to be 1:1. The compounds are coordinated to the central metal as tetradentate O 2 N 2 ligands The Ni II complexes are proposed to exhibit tet… Show more

“…After copper and cadmium sorption 1291, 1247, 1170 cm −1 C-O-C vibrations were shifted to 1292, 1170, 1047 cm −1 [28]. Conclusive evidence of the bonding is also shown by the observation that new bands in the FT-IR spectra of the Cu(II) and Cd(II) metal complexes appear at 521, 463 cm −1 and 518, 436 cm −1 assigned to (Cu-O), (Cu-N) and (Cd-O), (Cd-N), respectively, stretching vibrations [24,29] (Fig. 2c and d).…”

“…Their biological applications have a considerable interest [4,12]. The field of pyrazolone and its metal complexes in chemistry is developing very rapidly because of its importance in the area of coordination chemistry [9,[11][12][13][14]. The pyrazolone have also found applications outside the pharmaceutical field, such as in the solvent extraction of metal ions [15], ligands in complexes with catalytic activity [16] and optical characteristics [17][18][19].…”

“…A wide range of Schiff bases have been synthesized and their complexation behaviour studied in recent years. Because of the importance in the area of coordination chemistry, the pyrolozone chemistry of metals is developing very rapidly [7]. 4-Aminoantipyrine derivatives are very important in the field of coordination complexes and also these compounds are reported to exhibit analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-cancer and herbicidal activities.…”
