“…It is evident from Figure that the prepared HDPE and nanoclay HDPE waste are effective as pour point depressants for lubricating oil and the efficiency is reduced by increasing the doses of these prepared additives. It can be attributed to a decrease in the solvation power, and the solvation power of any solvent decreases with decreasing temperature and vice versa. This decrease in solvation power becomes more obvious when the molecular weight of the solute and its concentration increases. The best performance is shown as pour point depressants at a concentration of 0.25%.…”

“…Precipitation polymerization and solution polymerization have emerged as the dominant PMV synthesis techniques over the years that PMVs have been continuously studied by researchers. Ghosh et al, 1 Popa et al, 21 Peptu et al, 22 and Uglea et al 23 have attained the PMV products of viscosity‐average molecular weight ( M v ) 14,900–16,900, 100,000, 14,000, and 30,000–70,000 g/mol respectively using precipitation polymerization process. Notwithstanding, high content of cross‐linkers, low monomer concentration and manipulating special apparatus enormously limit the industrial applications of precipitation polymerization 24–26 .…”

“…Poly(maleic anhydride-alt-vinyl acetate) (PMV) is a type of known significant fine chemical product. Owing to the specific steric hindrance, maleic anhydride (MAH) can specifically construct alternating copolymers with vinyl acetate (VAc) with equimolar ratio of MAH to VAc in PMV chains 1 by charge transfer complex (CTC) effect. Over the past few decades, PMV has been extensively employed in the fields of biomedical, [2][3][4][5][6] blood dialysis 7 and immobilization of enzymes, 8 and so on.…”
