“…The 3 "P -" 3 Cd spin-spin coupling constant is 1629 Hz for the complex with two TBP molecules and 1523 Hz for the complex with one TBP molecule; this corresponds to the value given in [20]. The rate of exchange increases with concentration of pyridine in solution, and methylene chloride, evidently, also participates in solvate formation.…”

“…Features A, B and C shows clearly visible changes of their sharpness, shape, position and intensity indicating variations of Zn atoms surrounding geometry and symmetry in solutions. Possibility of Py and TBP molecules coordination by Zn atoms in solutions is supported by the existence of solid compounds with 4S+2N and 4S+P Zn atoms surroundings such as ZnLI2(1,10-phenanthroline) (Bell et el., 1989) and ZnL2P(Alkyl)3 (Zeng et al, 1994) complexes. ZnK XANES spectra measured on solid i ZnL 2(1,10-phenanthroline) complex and its solutions are not presented in the paper because all of them are identical.…”

“…Simple dialkyldithiocarbamates of zinc and cadmium have dimeric structures in the solid state. The parent dimeric dithiocarbamates can be broken into monomeric species by adduct formation, as illustrated by recent structural studies of the 2,2'-bipyridyl [2], 1,lOphenanthroline [2] and triethylphosphine [3] adducts of Cd(S2CNEt& and 1,2-bis(diethylphosphiino)ethane adducts of zinc and cadmium bis(diethy1-dithiocarbamates) [3]. However, this is not the case for the N,N,M, N-tetramethylethylenediamine (TMED) adduct of the asymmetric dithiocarbamate species Zn(S2CNMe'Pr)2 which was reported as consisting of two bis(N-methylisopropy1dithiocarbamato)zinc molecules bridged by a TMED molecule [4].…”
