“…5 L-Tyrosine, as well as other amino acids, forms coordination bonds with metal ions. These metal ions complexes are structural, spectroscopic, magnetic characterized [6][7][8][9][10][11][12] and tested against bacterial 13,14 or fungal [13][14][15] strains. However, their biological properties are relatively rarely evaluated.…”

“…Further, another predominant vibration for this complex is associated with υ(C≡N) at 1958 cm -1 that demonstrates the existence of a coordinating CH 3 CN molecule. The electronic spectral data for the Ru(II) complex were measured in CH 3 CN solution and data have been presented in the experimental section. The complex exhibits three intense absorption bands in the UV region, at 202, 254, and 284 nm, due to the ligand-centered π  π* or n  π* transitions of the coordinating tptz chromophore, which are only somewhat perturbed by the complexation in comparison with those of the free tptz ligand[75,77,80]. Also, it shows Ru II (tptz2-• )(CH 3 CN)Cl ] 2-+ ē → [Ru II (tptz 3-• )(CH 3 CN)Cl 2 ] 3-L red3 : (E pc = -1.50 V)The formal potential (E 1/2 ) was determined from the average of the anodic and cathodic peak potentials, where E 1/2 = (E pa + E pc )/2 at a scan rate of 0.1 V s -1 .…”

“…After coordination with Eu 3+ , the absorption peaks shift to 278 nm. This shows that a more extensive π-π* conjugating system is formed due to the coordination (25,35). This indicates Theoretical values are given in parentheses.…”
