Synthesis and Characterization of New Phases with Composition Sr1-xNax(Ti1-xMgx)O3-3xF3x

Abstract: A mixture of NaF and MgF 2 has been used to sinter SrTiO 3 at low temperature. A new solid solution Sr 1-x Na x (Ti 1-x Mg x )O 3-3x F 3x (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.20) has been obtained after sintering at 950 °C for 2 hours. From the X-ray diffraction analysis, each sample is a perovskite single phase with an orthorhombic symmetry whatever the value of x. Dielectric measurements have been performed as a function of temperature (300 K ≤ T ≤ 773 K) at two frequencies (100 Hz or 1000 Hz). DSC analysis have been carried out betw… Show more

“…Table2summarizes the dielectric characteristics of (Ba,Na)(Ti,Mg)(O,F) 3 ceramics obtained at 1 kHz. The dielectric constant and the dielectric losses are better than those found for CaTiO 3 -NaF-MgF 2 and SrTiO 3 -NaF-MgF 2 systems previously studied[10,11].…”
