Synthesis and Characterization of New Sr3(BO3)2 Crystal for Stimulated Raman Scattering Applications

Abstract: Abstract:A new kind of borate crystalline material Sr 3 (BO 3 ) 2 with a similar calcite type structure was designed and synthesized by solid state reaction method, moreover, the single crystal growth was attempted with traditional Czochralski pulling method. Crystal phase of Sr 3 (BO 3 ) 2 was investigated by using X-Ray powder diffraction (XRPD) at room temperature and found similar to Ca 3 (BO 3 ) 2 crystal with space group of R-3c. The phase stability was studied by means of thermogravimetric differential … Show more

“…The spectra of the phosphors under high pressures were discussed in detail. The Raman spectra of BLB:Ce 3+ exhibit typical vibration peaks under variational and decompressed pressures in Figures and S6 . The crystal lattice is squeezed, the bonds shorten, the lattice energy rises, the electron–phonon coupling increases, and the distinctive peaks shift to a high wavenumber direction with the increasing pressure. , However, neither the additional peaks nor the initial peaks vanished.…”

“…According to one of the theoretical models, the shift of the phonon band towards low frequencies can be associated with an increase in mass upon isovalent substitution in a solid solution [53]. For example, this shift is observed in Ca 3 (BO 3 ) 2 and Sr 3 (BO 3 ) 2 crystalline samples [54].…”

“…In 2017, Berto et al [27] suggested that the effective action distance in dual-range amplification is twice as high as in single-range amplification, despite the fact that the fibre length is below 3 m. e intensity of SRS produced in a dual-range fibre amplifier with bidirectional pumping is comparable to that in a single-range amplifier with reverse pumping. In 2017, Wang et al [28] investigated the SRS effect in a kilowatt cascadepumped ytterbium-doped fibre amplifier. e model pointed out that although the Raman effect can be suppressed by lower doping concentrations and shorter fibre lengths, its effect on pump absorption and amplification efficiency should be considered.…”
